Happy Sweet Sixteen, Elisabeth Joy!!

My firstborn baby turned sixteen today! This was THE long-awaited day, and though she didn't get a kitten - her true heart's desire - she did get to take a trip to the DMV for her permit (though she has to return tomorrow due to bringing the wrong birth certificate - talk about disappointing!) and she did get to practice driving with her dad in our church parking lot tonight. Good thing this is all she's talked about - long enough to prepare me for its coming!

When I realized this morning that the only decent pictures I had of her were from over a year ago, she was willing to cooperate with me for an impromptu photo shoot. We had a great time together! I am so happy that I was able to capture her beauty and her personality in these shots. She is such an enjoyable person. I am thankful to be able to call her my daughter and friend.

I am so proud of my girl, and I consider it an honor to share her heart. She loves the Lord and she loves her daddy and nothing could please me more. Truly, she brings us joy.
